(14) 24­0080 NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Recreation and Parks (RAP) and Los Angeles County Probation Department for Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) After­school Enrichment and Supervision program ­ Youth Employment Internship Program. Recommendation for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: AUTHORIZE the General Manager, RAP to accept and receive the JJCPA grant funding for the After School Enrichment and Supervision Program in the approximate amount of $1,669,970 from the County of Los Angeles Probation Department to provide youth services through RAP's Clean and Safe Space Parks Youth Employment Internship Program for Fiscal Year 2023­2024 at selected recreation facilities. Fiscal Impact Statement: The L.A. For Kids Steering Committee reports that the JJCPA Grant is administered on a reimbursement basis from the Friday County to allow- April RAP 19, the 2024 ability- to negotiate services inPAGE a timely 13 manner. Acceptance of this Grant has no fiscal impact on RAP’s General Fund, as all funding is being provided by the County, at no cost to RAP, for the benefit of participating youth and teens from various communities throughout Los Angeles.
