(17) 24­0251 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to the status of life/safety repairs of Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) facilities that were damaged in the February 2024 storm. Recommendations for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Park – Padilla): 1. INSTRUCT the LAFD to report on the status of life/safety repairs of damage that resulted from the February 2024 storm, in addition to Friday - April 19, 2024 - PAGE 15 other improvements that are funded but have not been implemented. INSTRUCT the Department of General Services, in coordination with the LAFD and Emergency Management Department, to report on its process for prioritizing and expediting repairs to City assets that are essential to life and safety. . Fiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this report.
