(23) 201506S1 PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a proposed Sixth Amendment to Contract No. C137882 between the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services to provide mental health call diversion services under the Call Direction to Ensure Suicide Safety (CRESS) Pilot Program. Recommendation for Council action: AUTHORIZE the Chief of Police, LAPD, or designee, to execute a Sixth Amendment to Contract No. C137882 with Didi Hirsch Psychiatric Service dba Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, to continue to provide mental health call diversion services under the CRESS Pilot Program, with terms of the Sixth Amendment to include: a. An extension of the performance period by one year, from March 31, 2024 through March 31, 2025. b. A compensation amount not to exceed $960,000. Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer (CAO) reports that there is no additional General Fund impact. Funding for the proposed contract amendment is available in the LAPD’s Contractual Services account for the Fiscal Year 202324 Adopted Budget. Subsequent year funding will be subject to consideration during the annual budget development process. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the recommendations Tuesday contained in the April 4, - June 2024- CAO report, attached PAGE 10,2024 18 to the Council file, comply with the City Financial Policies in that the City’s financial obligation Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer (CAO) reports that there is no additional General Fund impact. Funding for the proposed contract amendment is available in the LAPD’s Contractual Services account for the Fiscal Year 202324 Adopted Budget. Subsequent year funding will be subject to consideration during the annual budget development process. Financial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the recommendations contained in the April 10, 2024 CAO report, attached to the Council file, comply with the City Financial Policies in that the City’s financial obligation is limited to funds budgeted for this purpose.
