(40) 24­0002­S7 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CHIEF LEGISLATIVE ANALYST (CLA) and RESOLUTION (HERNANDEZ – SOTO­MARTINEZ – HUTT) relative to including in the City’s 2024­25 State Legislative Program support for Senate Bill (SB) 1103 (Menjivar), which would reduce the risk of displacement for small businesses and nonprofits by providing common sense commercial tenant protections, including transparent and fair leasing practices. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Hernandez – Soto­Martinez – Hutt), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION to include in the City’s 2024­25 State Legislative Program SUPPORT for SB 1103 (Menjivar), which would reduce the risk of displacement for small businesses and nonprofits by providing common sense commercial tenant protections, including transparent and fair leasing practices. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the CLA. The City Administrative Officer has not completed a financial analysis of this report.
