(44) 23­0002­S130 COMMUNICATION FROM THE CHIEF LEGISLATIVE ANALYST (CLA) and RESOLUTION (HERNANDEZ – BLUMENFIELD) relative to including in the City’s 2023­24 State Legislative Program support for Assembly Bill (AB) 2716 (Bryan), which would prohibit low­production oil and gas wells from continuing operations within 3,200 feet of sensitive receptors for more than 24 months. Recommendation for Council action, pursuant to Resolution (Hernandez – Blumenfield), SUBJECT TO THE CONCURRENCE OF THE MAYOR: ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION to include in the City’s 2023­ 2024 State Legislative Program SUPPORT for AB 2716 (Bryan), which would prohibit low­production oil and gas wells from continuing operations within 3,200 feet of sensitive receptors for more than 24 months in order to protect the health and welfare of the public and the environment. Fiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the CLA. The City Administrative Officer has not completed a financial analysis of this report.
