(2) 17­1375­S2 CD 12 CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION, COMMUNICATION FROM THE CITY ENGINEER and ORDINANCE FIRST CONSIDERATION relative to the quitclaim of the variable width easements for slope purposes lying on 11100 Mason Avenue ­ Right of Way No. 36000­2397 (Quitclaim). Recommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE MAYOR: 1. FIND that the Quitclaim is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970 pursuant to Article III, Class 5(4) of the City's Environmental Guidelines. 2. APPROVE the petitioner’s request for the quitclaim of the variable width easements for slope purposes lying on 11100 Mason Avenue, as shown on the Exhibit Map in the July 10, 2024 City Engineer report, attached to the Council file, subject to the following condition: That petitioner make satisfactory arrangement with the Real Estate Division of the Bureau of Engineering (BOE) with respect to the payment of the document recording fee. 3. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE, dated July 9, 2024, authorizing the Quitclaim, which has been approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney. as shown on the Exhibit Map in the July 10, 2024 City Engineer report, attached to the Council file, subject to the following condition: That petitioner make satisfactory arrangement with the Real Estate Division of the Bureau of Engineering (BOE) with respect to the payment of the document recording fee. 4. INSTRUCT the Real Estate Division of the BOE to record and deliver the necessary quitclaim deed or deeds to the persons legally entitled thereto. Fiscal Impact Statement: The City Engineer reports that a fee of $7,075.91 was paid for processing this request pursuant to Section 7.40 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code.
