(12)\n16-0358-S1\nPUBLIC SAFETY and BUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEES’\nREPORT relative to the Tenth Amendment to Contract No. C-129255\nwith the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority\n(LACMTA) to provide law enforcement services for the transit system's\ninfrastructure, bus, rail lines, and ridership.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. AUTHORIZE the Chief of Police, Los Angeles Police\nDepartment (LAPD), or designee, to execute the Tenth\nAmendment to Contract No. C-129255 with the LACMTA that\nextends the term by one year to cover the period from July 1,\n2025 through June 30, 2026, and increases the contract budget\nby $116,457,013.73, from $730,822,736.47 to $847,279,750.20.\n2. AUTHORIZE the LAPD to prepare Controller instructions for\nany technical adjustments, as necessary, subject to the\napproval of the City Administrative Officer (CAO), and authorize\nthe Controller to implement the instructions.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The CAO reports that approval of the\nrecommendations in the report will authorize the LAPD to execute the\nTenth Amendment to Contract No. C-129255 with the LACMTA to\nextend the term by one year from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026,\nand increase the contract budget by $116.5 million, from\n$730,822,736.47 to $847,279,750.20. All other terms remain the\nsame. Reimbursement for services provided will be deposited into\nRevenue Source Code 4603, Service to LACMTA. There is no\nadditional impact to the General Fund.\nFinancial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the\nrecommendations stated in the report are in compliance with the\nCity’s Financial Policies in that the City will be reimbursed for services\nprovided, based on the full cost of operations.
