B.16. SPINNING SUNSET: SPOOKY EDITION – SUNSET STRIP BID\nACTIVATION EVENT [L. BIERY, P. KESPRADIT]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider approving the waiver of Special\nEvent Permit Fees, Parking Meter Fees, Generator Permit Fees, and\nEncroachment Permit Fees for City businesses within the Sunset Strip\nBusiness Improvement District (District) and approving the waiver of\nTemporary Peddler’s License Permit Fees for merchants participating in\nthe “Spinning Sunset” activation event, which will be held on Saturday,\nOctober 25, 2025.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve the waiver of Special Event Permit\nFees, Parking Meter Fees, Generator Permit Fees, and Encroachment\nPermit Fees for City businesses within the Sunset Strip Business\nImprovement District that are activating their businesses on October 25,\n2025, for “Spinning Sunset” in an amount not to exceed $5,000 in waived\nfees; and 2) Approve the waiver of Temporary Peddler’s License Permit\nFees for merchants participating in the “Spinning Sunset” activation\nparking lot, located at 8495 W. Sunset Boulevard on October 25, 2025, in\nan amount not to exceed $3,675 in waived fees.
