15.\nAWARD CONTRACT: EARTHWORK, ASPHALTIC PAVING AND SITE DEMOLITION\nSERVICES FOR THE ALHAMBRA COMMUNITY CENTER – F2M22-65, N2M25-106,\nC2M25-47, M2M25-155\nOn January 27, 2025, the City Council authorized the issuance of Notice Inviting Bids for\nconstruction activities for the Alhambra Community Center Project. On September 18,\n2025, the City Clerk received four (4) bids for Earthwork, Paving, and Site Demolition\nServices for the Alhambra Community Center ranging from $1,000,000.00 (Ramirez\nCompany) to $1,912,420.00 (Salsbury Engineering Inc.). The low bidder, Ramirez\nCompany, was deemed a non-responsive bid. The bid received from Doja Inc. in the\namount of $1,150,000.00 is the lowest responsive bid among those received.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and the City Attorney, by and between the City of Alhambra\nand Doja Inc., for earthwork, asphaltic paving and site demolition services for the\nAlhambra Community Center in an amount not to exceed $1,150,000.00; and, direct staff\nto undertake the steps necessary to finalize the Council’s action.
