11.\nCONTRACT AMENDMENT: PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES TO\nDEVELOP THE LOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN - F2M23-70, C2M24-26, M2M25152\nOn April 22, 2024, the City Council awarded a contract to Black & Veatch Corporation in\nthe amount of $144,920.00 for professional consulting services to develop the Local\nHazard Mitigation Plan (LHMP). Although the contract includes all the necessary tasks,\ndeliverables, and expenses associated with developing the LHMP, an increase in the\namount of $7,456.66 is necessary to accommodate additional community engagement\n(five City Council District meetings) during the public comment period.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve an amendment to the contract\nbetween the City of Alhambra and Black & Veatch Corporation (Contract No. C2M24-26)\nfor an additional contract amount of $7,456.66 and a new not to exceed contract total of\n$152,376.66 for the completion of the City’s Hazard Mitigation Plan, subject to final\nlanguage approval by the City Manager and City Attorney; and, direct staff to undertake\nthe steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
