(16)\n13-1204-S9\nARTS, PARKS, LIBRARIES, AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT and\nBUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEES’ REPORT and RESOLUTION\nrelative to the Fiscal Year 2025-28 Proposition 56 California\nHealthcare, Research and Prevention Tobacco Tax Act of 2016 grant\naward.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney, or designee, to:\na. Retroactively apply for and execute the grant award\nagreement between the State of California Department of\nJustice and the City Attorney's Office.\nb. Accept the grant award in the amount of $61,224 from the\nState of California Department of Justice.\nc. Execute a vendor agreement with JSI Research Inc.\nd. Prepare Controller instructions for any necessary\ntechnical adjustments, subject to the approval of the City\nAdministrative Officer; and, request the Controller to\nimplement the instructions.\n2. AUTHORIZE the Controller to:\na. Establish a receivable within Fund No. 368 in the amount\nof $61,224 from the State of California Department of\nJustice.\nb. Establish a new appropriation account within Fund No.\n368 as follows:\nAccount No. 12A643 - LA DATA VII Program (20252028): $61,224\n3. ADOPT the accompanying RESOLUTION, attached to the City\nAttorney report dated November 20, 2024, attached to the\nCouncil file, requested by the State of California Attorney\nGeneral's Office for receipt of the grant award.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The City Attorney reports that the total cost\nof the LA DATA VII Program (2024-2027) is $61,224, of which\n$61,224 will be fully reimbursed by the State of California Department\nof Justice.
