N. AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO SOUTHERN CONTRACTING\nCOMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,974,788.05 FOR THE RECREATION FIELDS LED\nLIGHTING UPGRADES, CITY PROJECT NO. 19-28\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Award the construction contract to Southern Contracting Company, a California\ncorporation, in the amount of $4,974,788.05 for the Recreational Fields Lighting\nUpgrades, City Project No. 19-28 (the “Project”).\n2. Delegate authority to the City Manager or designee to approve and execute\nconstruction contract change orders up to a total amount of $497,478 (10%) with all\nchange orders reported to the City Council at project completion.\n3.
