E.5.\nADVISORY BOARD MEETING FREQUENCY UPDATE [J. JIMENEZ, M.\nCROWDER, L. MORALES]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider implementing a one-year pilot\nprogram beginning January 2026 to assess meeting frequency for the\nCity’s Advisory Boards. A modified monthly schedule (approximately 10\nmeetings per year), allowing Boards to skip one or two months as\nappropriate to their workload. The program is intended to balance efficient\nstaff and Board operations with continued opportunities for public\nengagement and policy development. Staff will evaluate the pilot\nthroughout 2026 and return to the City Council with findings and\nrecommendations at year-end.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a one-year pilot program changing\nthe meeting frequency of the City’s Advisory Boards beginning January\n2026; 2) Allow Staff and the Advisory Boards to approve a modified\nmonthly schedule of eight (8) to ten (10) meetings per year maximum; and\n3) Consider increasing the stipend paid to Advisory Boardmembers from\n$100 to $125.
