F.4.\nRECONCEPTUALIZATION AND RESTORATION OF A MUSIC\nFESTIVAL ON THE SUNSET STRIP [J. HEILMAN, D. HANG]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider authorizing the City Manager, or\ntheir designee, to enter into negotiations with qualified music festival\npromoters that have established connections to the Sunset Strip music\nvenues to develop a proposal for a music festival concept on the Sunset\nStrip in fall 2026.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Direct the City Manager, or their designee, to\nmeet with qualified music festival promoters that have established\nconnections to the Sunset Strip music venues to develop a proposal for a\nseries of events on Sunset Boulevard culminating with a music festival in\nthe fall of 2026; 2) Direct staff to evaluate the use of billboards to publicize\nevents and generate the City’s financial contribution to a new music\nfestival on the Sunset Strip; and 3) Direct staff to develop a proposal for\ndirect financial support from the City for infrastructure, such as street\nclosures, and public safety for the event.
