10.3 CONSIDERATION OF A REQUEST TO APPROVE THE ASSIGNMENT OF THE\nSECOND AMENDED AND RESTATED AGREEMENT FOR SOLID WASTE HANDLING\nSERVICES\nComments:\nThe exclusive Solid Waste Handling Services Agreement (“Agreement”) with Waste Resources, Inc.\n(WRI), commenced on November 1, 2013. The Agreement has been amended twice. The First\nAmended Agreement was approved on November 17, 2017, while the Second Amended and\nRestated Agreement for Solid Waste Handling Services ( “Second Amended and Restated\nAgreement”) was approved on November 16, 2021 with an effective date of December 1, 2021.\nThe Second Amended and Restated Agreement is set to expire on December 31, 2029. (CM)\nRecommendation:\nThat the City Council discuss, consider and approve the Assignment, Assumption and\nConsent Agreement between Waste Resources, Inc. USA Waste of California, Inc. and\nthe City of Lynwood.
