9E.\nAUTHORITY TO ADVERTISE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORM ROSS SPORTS\nPARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT\nThe plans and specifications for the Norm Ross Sports Park Improvement Project are\ncomplete. The City Engineer is recommending City Council approve the specifications\nand plans for bidding, subject to revision by the City Engineer and the City Attorney, to\nensure the construction contract is awarded in an efficient and timely manner. The Project\nplans and specifications are available in the office of the City Engineer for review.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare this project to be categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act, Section 15378(b)(5) – Organizational or administrative\nactivities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical change in the\nenvironment; and\n2. Approve the bid specifications and plans, subject to revisions required by the Division\nof the State Architect, City Engineer and the City Attorney; and\n3. Authorize and advertise for bids the Norm Ross Sports Park Improvement Project.\nStanton City Council Agenda
