B.12. UPDATE REGARDING THE 2026 ELTON JOHN AIDS FOUNDATION\nOSCARS EVENT [Y. QUARKER, C. SMITH, M. REATH, B. SMITH]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider requests from Elton John AIDS\nFoundation related to the City’s co-sponsorship of their annual Oscar\nViewing Party, a charity fundraiser, to be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026,\nin West Hollywood Park.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Permit to Use City Property\nAgreement between the City of West Hollywood and Elton John AIDS\nFoundation for the 2026 event that defines facility uses, street closures,\nand the terms of the relationship between the City and Elton John AIDS\nFoundation; 2) Approve the exclusive use of West Hollywood Park\nbeginning Wednesday, March 4, 2026, through Thursday, March 19,\n2026; 3) Approve the exclusive use of the Five-Story Parking Structure\n(5SPS) from 5:00 A.M. on Sunday, March 15, 2026, to 5:00 A.M. on\nBoulevard, between Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, for\nevent arrivals and departures from 11:30 A.M. on Sunday, March 15,\n2026, through 5:00 A.M. on Monday, March 16, 2026; and 5) Approve a\ntemporary daily parking rate of $6.00 per vehicle in the Five-Story Parking\nStructure for production staff, crew, and event attendees from March 4,\n2026, through March 19, 2026. This rate adjustment is projected to result\nin a potential revenue loss of four thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight\ndollars ($4,938).
