B.13. MEMORIAL IN REMEMBRANCE OF LIVES LOST TO SUICIDE IN THE\nLGBTQ+ COMMUNITY [H. COLLINS, P. TICUN, E. HAMANT]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive and consider the\nrecommendations by the LGBTQ+ Suicide Memorial Ad Hoc\nSubcommittee and the Public Facilities, Recreation, and Infrastructure\nCommission regarding a City Council Directive to install a memorial for the\nindividual lives lost to suicide in the LGBTQ+ community at a park space\nin West Hollywood.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Accept the recommendation of the LGBTQ+\nSuicide Memorial Ad Hoc Subcommittee and the Public Facilities,\nRecreation, and Infrastructure Commission as a framework for how to\nproceed with the City Council Directive to install a memorial for the\nindividual lives lost to suicide in the LGBTQ+ community at a park space\nin West Hollywood; and 2) Direct staff to include this project, for the\nLGBTQ+ Suicide Monument, in the next Five-Year Capital Plan which will\nbe considered and approved by City Council in Spring/Summer 2026.
