CONSIDER AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO BEADOR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC.\nFOR PROJECT 675: SEPULVEDA BLVD - WIDENING PROJECT FROM ALAMEDA BOULEVARD TO\nINTERMODAL WAY (CITY COUNCIL)\nRECOMMENDED ACTION\n— 1. AWARD a Construction Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, Beador\nConstruction Company Inc., for Project No. 675 - Sepulveda Bridge Widening from Alameda\nBoulevard to Intermodal Way, in the amount not to exceed $21,975,300;\n— 2. AUTHORIZE the Mayor to execute the contract, following approval as to form by the City\nAttorney; and,\n— 3. AUTHORIZE a 10% construction contingency (approximately $2,197,530) to address any\nunforeseen construction conditions that way arise, funded entirely through the Los Angeles\nCounty Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Measure M Grant.
