(27)\n25-1188\nCD 13\nTRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE REPORT relative to amending the\nboundaries of the Santa Monica-Highland Parking Meter Zone (PMZ)\nin Council District 13.\nRecommendations for Council action:\n1. REQUEST the City Attorney to prepare and present an\nordinance amending Subsection 26(A) of Section 88.00 of the\nLos Angeles Municipal Code to expand the boundaries of the\nSanta Monica-Highland PMZ, to revise Line 3 and add Lines 915 as follows:\na. Highland Avenue from Lexington Avenue to Willoughby\nAvenue\nb. Sycamore Avenue from Santa Monica Boulevard to\nWilloughby Avenue\nc. Orange Drive from Santa Monica Boulevard to Willoughby\nAvenue\nd. Mansfield Avenue from Santa Monica Boulevard to\nWilloughby Avenue\ne. Citrus Avenue from Romaine Street to Willoughby Avenue\nf. Willoughby Avenue from Sycamore Avenue to Highland\nAvenue\ng. South side of Romaine Street from La Brea Avenue to\nSycamore Avenue\nh. Romaine Street from Sycamore Avenue to Highland\nAvenue\n2. DIRECT the Los Angeles Department of Transportation\n(LADOT) to install metered parking directly in front of\ncontiguous commercial properties in the expanded zone street\nsegments listed above, upon City Council adoption of the\nexpanded PMZ.\nFiscal Impact Statement:\nThe LADOT reports that there is no fiscal impact to the City’s General\nFund. The Street Parking Revenue Fund (SPRF) will fund the cost of\nimplementing and maintaining the expanded PMZ, estimated at an\ninitial cost of $515,000 to install parking meter equipment and\nassociated signs, stall markings, and red curb. The expanded\nboundary of the Santa Monica-Highland PMZ is estimated to generate\napproximately $1.6 million in annual gross revenue. The City may\nalso generate additional General Fund revenue from the issuance of\nparking citations at the newly installed parking meters.
