(31)\n20-1328-S1\nTRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE REPORT relative to assessing the\nPersonal Delivery Devices (PDD) program and recommendations for\nimprovement.\nRecommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Hernandez\n– Soto-Martinez):\nINSTRUCT the Los Angeles Department of Transportation:\n1. To report with an assessment of the PDD program and\nrecommendations to improve the program, including but not\nlimited to:\na. Evaluation of the current permit structure, with\nrecommendations for alternative or supplemental models\nsuch as per-trip fees, utilization fees, and a tiered\nadvertising fee schedule.\nb. Review of deployment and operational practices. c.\nAnalysis on the enforcement responsibilities, and\nrecommendations on enforcement management.\n2. In consultation with the City Attorney, to report on the feasibility\nof leveraging data collected by PDDs to utilize to support the\nCity’s infrastructure data collection efforts.\nFiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor\nthe Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this\nreport.
