(17)\n21-1015-S18\nENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT and BUDGET AND FINANCE\nCOMMITTEES’ REPORT relative to applications for the United States\nEnvironmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Office of Water, Office of\nGround Water and Drinking Water, Midsize and Large Drinking Water\nInfrastructure Resilience and Sustainability Program – Fiscal Year (FY)\n2025.\nRecommendations for Council action:\n1. AUTHORIZE the General Manager, Department of Water and\nPower (DWP), or designee, to prepare and submit two grant\napplications for the USEPA, Office of Water, Office of Ground\nWater and Drinking Water, Midsize and Large Drinking Water\nInfrastructure Resilience and Sustainability Program - FY 2025.\n2. INSTRUCT the General Manager, DWP, or designee, to report if\nthe City is awarded the grants, to request authority to accept the\ngrant awards, and to request approval for any related actions to\nimplement the grant awards.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer (CAO)\nreports that approval of the above recommendations will not result in\na General Fund impact. There is a 10 percent matching funds\nrequirement for the Midsize and Large Drinking Water System\nInfrastructure Resilience and Sustainability Program – FY 2025 grant.\nHowever, upon notification of a grant award, a reassessment on the\nGeneral Fund impact should be completed as it relates to either lower\nthan requested grant award amounts, verification of local match\nrequirements, or front-funding for grants on a reimbursement basis.\nFinancial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the above\nrecommendations comply with the City’s Financial Policies.
