(6)\n21-0392\nCD 8\nARTS, PARKS, LIBRARIES, AND COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT\nCOMMITTEE REPORT relative to a Second Amendment to Contract\nNo. 143847 with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to\nAnimals, to provide spay/neuter and related veterinary services at the\nChesterfield Square Animal Services Center.\nRecommendation for Council action:\nAUTHORIZE the General Manager, Department of Animal Services\n(DAS), or designee, to execute the Second Amendment to Contract\nNo. 143847 between the DAS and American Society for the\nPrevention of Cruelty to Animals to operate the Chesterfield Square\nAnimal Services Center spay and neuter clinic from July 1, 2025\nthrough June 30, 2026, for an amount not to exceed $350,000.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer (CAO)\nreports that approval of the recommendation in the report will have no\nadditional impact on the General Fund. All spay and neuter service\ncosts are funded through the Animal Sterilization Trust Fund and\nsufficient funding for this purpose is available therein.\nFinancial Policies Statement: The CAO reports that the\nrecommendation stated in the report is in compliance with the City's\nFinancial Policies in that budgeted funds are used for intended\npurposes, and ongoing revenues are used for ongoing expenditures.
