F.2.\nINITIATE A REVIEW OF CERTAIN COMPONENTS IN THE RENT\nSTABILIZATION ORDINANCE, INCLUDING ESTABLISHING AN AD\nHOC CITY COUNCIL RSO SUBCOMMITTEE [D. WILSON, A. LOVANO,\nL. LANGER, C. SAFRIET]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider initiating a review of the Rent\nStabilization Ordinance, including the components outlined in this report\nand any additional areas identified by the City Council. The City Council\nwill also consider establishing an Ad Hoc City Council Subcommittee to\nwork with staff and the City Attorney’s office on this review.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Initiate a review of the components of the\nRent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) described in this staff report, and any\nother areas identified for consideration by the City Council; 2) Consider\nauthorizing the creation of an Ad Hoc City Council Subcommittee and\nappointing two Councilmembers to serve on the Subcommittee with the\nspecific purpose of collaborating with staff and the City Attorney’s office on\nthis RSO review; and 3) Direct staff to present any proposed modifications\nto the RSO to the Rent Stabilization Commission prior to being brought to\nthe full City Council for consideration.
