6.\nAward of Construction Contract to Alfaro Communications Construction, Inc.\nfor the Bus Shelter Replacement Project, Cash Contract No. 24-08\nRecommendation\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Award of Construction Contract to Alfaro Communications Construction, Inc.\nfor the Bus Shelter Replacement Project, Cash Contract No. 24-08 in the\namount of $1,668,967;\n2. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to process change orders\nin an amount not to exceed 20% of the contract for $333,793, for a total not-\nto-exceed amount of $2,002,760 if needed;\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the Construction Contract for the Bus\nShelter Replacement Project, Cash Contract No. 24-08 with Alfaro\nCommunications Construction, Inc., subject to the City Attorney making non-\nsubstantive changes; and,\n4. Authorize the Public Works Director/City Engineer to execute the Notice of\nCompletion at the conclusion of construction.
