CC 4. Barranca Avenue and Covina Boulevard Resurfacing Project – Project No. P2608 –\nAward of Contract to Gentry Brothers, Inc. in the Amount of $1,784,972\nStaff Recommendation:\n1.\nApprove plans and specifications for the Barranca Avenue and Covina Boulevard\nResurfacing Project – Project No. P2608;\n2.\nAward a contract for the Barranca Avenue and Covina Boulevard Resurfacing\nProject – Project No. P2608 to Gentry Brothers, Inc. as the lowest responsive and\nresponsible bidder in the amount of $1,784,972 and authorize the City Manager to\nexecute the contract;\n3.\nAuthorize a contingency amount of $178,497 (approximately 10% of construction\ncosts) for any unforeseen construction expenses;\n4.\nAward a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) to CEJ Engineers, Inc. for\nConstruction Management and Inspection Services for an amount not-to-exceed\n$194,000 and authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement; and\n5.\nAdopt Resolution CC 2025-120 appropriating an additional $421,872 from available\nRMRA Fund – Fund Balance for use towards the project.
