10. Appointment of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem\nThat Your Honorable City Council\n(1) Direct the City Clerk to open nominations for the office of Mayor, take\nnominations, announce the outcome of the vote and declare the appointment upon\na majority vote of the Council;\n(2) Should the Council come to consensus on the office of Mayor, the newly\nappointed Mayor shall preside over the process for the office of Mayor Pro Tem,\nunless he/she prefers the City Clerk to facilitate the appointment; and\n(3) Open nominations for the office of Mayor Pro Tem, take nominations, and have\nthe City Clerk announce the outcome of the vote and declare the appointment upon\na majority vote of the Council.
