PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE\nAPPROVAL OF THE MAYOR:\n1. TRANSFER appropriations in the amount of $4.378\nmillion from the Unappropriated Balance Fund No. 100/58,\nAccount No. 580429, Police Department Sworn\nOvertime - Interim Homeless Housing, to the LAPD, Fund\nNo. 100/70, Account No. 001092, Sworn Overtime.\n2. AUTHORIZE the LAPD to make technical corrections as\nnecessary, subject to the approval of the City\nAdministrative Officer.\n3. DIRECT the LAPD to report back to Budget & Finance\ncommittee, as well as to the Council file, with the bureau\nspecific deployment plans described in their Interim\nHomeless Housing Site Overtime Allocation fact sheet,\ndated July 8, 2025, once those plans are created.\nB. HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS and BUDGET AND\nFINANCE COMMITTEES’ REPORT\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE\nAPPROVAL OF THE MAYOR:\n1. CONCUR with the action taken by the Public Safety\nCommittee on August 20, 2025, attached to Council file\nNo. 25-0600-S42.\n2. REQUEST the LAPD to submit a report to Council file No.\n25-0600-S42 with additional information that includes a\nbreakdown of overtime hours used during the prior Fiscal\nYear.\nFiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the LAPD. Neither the\nCAO nor the Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial\nanalysis of this report.
