20.\nAUTHORIZE RFP: ALHAMBRA SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES\nAGREEMENT AUDIT – F2M25-66, RFP2M25-28, M2M25-181\nOn July 1, 2021, the City entered into a Solid Waste Agreement with waste hauler,\nRepublic Services. Per Section 8.2.7 of the Solid Waste Agreement, the City has the right\nto conduct audits of the hauler at any time to verify compliance with the terms of the\nAgreement. At this time, the City would like to exercise Section 8.2.7 of the contract for\nthe audit of Rate Year 2023-24 to ensure compliance. The cost of the audit is paid for by\nRepublic Services per the Agreement in an amount not to exceed $70,000. Per the\nAgreement, subsequent biannual audits may be executed.\nRecommended Action:\nCity Council approve a Request for Proposals for\nprofessional services to conduct an audit of reports and records for the Rate Year 2023-\n24 under the Solid Waste Management Services Agreement with Republic Services;\nappropriate $70,000 in expenditures and revenues under the Sanitation Fund (415); and,\ndirect staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
