11.a. LETTER FROM EL MONTE/ SOUTH EL MONTE JETS REQUESTING A\nFACILITY FEE WAIVER FOR THE USE OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER,\nNEW TEMPLE PARK AND DEAN L. SHIVELY PARK FIELDS,\nCONSIDERATION TO WAIVE THE PARK LIGHT FEES, AND\nCONSIDERATION OF A MONETARY DONATION\nThe El Monte/ South El Monte Jets (Jets) are requesting a facility\nreservation fee waiver for the use of the City Community Center, New\nTemple Park fields, and Dean L. Shivley Park field to host football\npractices, cheerleading practices, sports physicals, and season banquets.\nAdditionally, the Jets are also requesting the City Council consider waiving\nthe park light fees and consider a monetary donation up to $4,900.00.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends City Council discuss and\nconsider the facility reservation fee waiver for the use of the Community\nCenter, fields at Dean L. Shively Park and New Temple Park in the\namount of $42,352.00, the request to waive the park light fees in the\nestimated amount of $15,097.50, and request of a monetary donation up\nto $4,900.00.
