SANTA CLARITA ROLLER SKATING RINK, PROJECT P3034 - DESIGN\nCONTRACT MODIFICATIONS AND CONSTRUCTABILITY REVIEW\nCONTRACT - This item awards a constructability review contract and modifies the\nexisting design contract for the Santa Clarita Roller Skating Rink project.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Extend the current contract and authorize an increased expenditure authority for the\ndesign services for the Santa Clarita Roller Skating Rink, Project P3034, with Anil\nVerma Associates, Inc., in the amount of $508,746 and authorize a contingency in the\namount of $50,874, for a total additional contract amount not to exceed $559,620.\n2. Award a contract for constructability review to RP Development Services in the\namount of $249,859 and authorize a contingency in the amount of $24,985, for a total\ncontract amount not to exceed $274,844.\n3. Authorize the transfer of project savings in the amount of $1,000,000 to Santa Clarita\nRoller Rink, Project P3034, expenditure account P3034723-516101 from the\nfollowing accounts:\n• $550,000 in Facilities Fund (Fund 723) from expenditure account F3024723-\n516101, Santa Clarita Sports Complex Buildout; and\n• $450,000 in Facilities Fund (Fund 723) from expenditure account F3020723-\n516101, Canyon Country Community Center.\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City\nAttorney approval.
