G. 2024 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY PROGRAM GRANT ACCEPTANCE\n[RESOLUTION NO. 25-48]\nThe City of San Gabriel has been awarded grant funds from the 2024 State\nHomeland Security Program for the San Gabriel Police Department in the\namount of $50,000. The San Gabriel Police Department is able to use these\nfunds towards projects from the Department of Homeland Security Approved\nEquipment List. Funding for the purchases will be reimbursed through the State\nHomeland Security Program (SHSP) grant. Initial outlay would be $50,000, but\nwould be fully reimbursed, with no matching funds. There is no fiscal impact to\nthe General Fund.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. 25-48 to approve\nthe following:\n1. Budget amendment to increase estimated revenue (account 186-3215) and\nappropriation (transfers out) in Other Grants Fund by $50,000; and increase\nestimated revenue (transfers in) and appropriation in Capital/Special\nProjects Funds (account 124-751-57-99-380) by $50,000.\n2. Authorize the Police Chief to accept the SHSP grant and purchase the item\nunder the City’s purchasing policy.\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute the subrecipient agreement between\nthe City and the County of Los Angeles.
