5.\nAuthorization to Extend the Agreement with Merchants Landscape, Inc. for Parks and City\nFacility Landscaping and Amenity Maintenance Services\nIt is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:\n1) Waive the formal bidding procedures pursuant to the provisions of Section 2-995 of\nthe Procurement Ordinance; and\n2) Authorize a one-year extension of the agreement with Merchants Landscape, Inc.,\nbeyond the original five-year term for parks and facilities landscaping, effective March\n1, 2026 through February 28, 2027, in an amount of $1,976,115.05 for the initial\none-year extension (a 3.5% increase from current contract) with up to four optional\none-year extensions with annual cost adjustments based on the Consumer Price\nIndex; and\n3) Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the agreement with Merchants\nLandscape, Inc., and any extra work, extensions or amendments thereto, subject to\nreview by the City Attorney.\nStaff Report - Merchants Extend\nAttachment No. 1 - Merchants Agreement Extension Amendment\nAttachment No. 2 - Original Merchants Fully Executed Agreement
