1.     AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH ELECNOR BELCO ELECTRIC, INC., FOR INTELLIGENT\nTRANSPORTATION\nSYSTEM PROJECTS AND TRAFFIC FLOW IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT FOR AN AMOUNT NOT-TO-EXCEED\n$1,825,289\n(Public Works Dept.)\nRecommendation: It is recommended that the City Council:\n(1)       Find the contract proposed in the agenda report to be categorically exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant\nto Title 14,\nChapter 3, Article 19, Class 1, §15301, Existing Facilities and Section 15302, Class 2 – Replacement or Reconstruction, and that there are no\nfeatures that\ndistinguish this project from others in the exempt class, and therefore, there are no unusual circumstances; and\n(2)       Authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract as a result of the competitive bid process as specified by Section 4.08.045 of the\nPasadena Municipal\nCode, with Elecnor Belco Electric, Inc., for the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Projects and Traffic Flow Improvements Within the Central\nBusiness District\nfor an amount not-to-exceed $1,825,289 which includes the base contract amount of $1,659,354 and a contingency of $165,935 to provide for any\nnecessary\nchange orders.
