D.\nAccept Completed Improvements and Authorize the Filing of a Notice of\nCompletion for the Public Safety Center Upgrades Project No. 31028 On\nOctober 22, 2024, the City Council awarded a construction contract to\nRoyal Construction Corp. for the Public Safety Center Upgrades Project.\nThe total construction budget, including a 10% contingency, was\n$2,626,800.00. On June 10, 2025, the City Council adopted Resolution No.\n2025-30 amending the City’s Fiscal Year 2024-25 CIP budget to\nappropriate additional funds in the amount of $255,850.00 to cover the\ncosts of unforeseen conditions. All construction improvements have been\ncompleted and have been accepted by City staff. A notice of completion\nwill be filed with the Los Angeles County Recorder upon approval by the\nCity Council. The release of retention funds will occur 35 days after the\nfiling of the notice of completion.\nRecommendation: That the City Council take the following actions:\n\n1.\nAccept the completed improvements for the Public Safety Center\nUpgrades Project No. 31028 as performed by Royal Construction,\nCorp.; and\n2.\nAuthorize the recordation of Notice of Completion with the Los\nAngeles County Recorder and the release of retention funds 35 days\nthereafter.\nStaff Report
