(18)\n23-1134-S2\nHOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS COMMITTEE REPORT relative to\nrequesting the City Attorney to draft an ordinance updating Subsection\nD of Section 151.06, Article 1, Chapter XV of the Los Angeles\nMunicipal Code (LAMC).\nRecommendation for Council action, pursuant to Motion (Soto-\nMartinez - Jurado):\nREQUEST the City Attorney to prepare and present an ordinance,\nwith an urgency clause, updating Subsection D of Section 151.06,\nArticle 1, Chapter XV of the LAMC as follows:\nAny annual rent increase not previously noticed and served during\nthe period beginning June 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, that goes\ninto effect on or after the effective date of this subsection shall comply\nwith this subsection. Any such rent increase shall not exceed three\npercent and shall not include any additional increase based on the\nlandlord’s payment of utilities.\nFiscal Impact Statement: Neither the City Administrative Officer nor\nthe Chief Legislative Analyst has completed a financial analysis of this\nreport.
