PH 4. Amendment to Title 17 of the Lancaster Municipal Code relating to the Regulation of\nCollection/Donation Bins\nRecommendation(s):\n1. Introduce Ordinance No. , amending Title 17 of the Lancaster Municipal Code by\namending Chapter 17.12 (Commercial Zones), and by adding a new Chapter 17.45, relating\nto the regulation of collection/donation bins.\n2. Find that the California Environmental Quality Act does not apply to this item.\nThe proposed ordinance would provide that collection bins may be present on commercially\nzoned property on which at least one currently licensed business is operating. A\nDevelopment Services Director’s review and approval is required prior to placing a bin on\nprivate property. A person who currently has a collection bin on their property must either\nobtain Director’s review and approval or remove the bin from the premises within 60 days\nfrom the effective date of the ordinance.\nCOUNCIL AGENDA
