CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION FOR APPOINTMENT TO FILL ONE (1) VACANCY\nON THE STANTON PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE FOR TERMS COINCIDING WITH\nTHE CITY COUNCIL ELECTION\nConsideration for appointment to fill one (1) vacancy on the Stanton Public Safety\nCommittee. There is currently one (1) vacancy within the Stanton Public Safety\nCommittee due to an unexpected vacancy, with a term expiring in November 2026.\nThe Mayor/Council Member holding the seat number corresponding to the numbered seat\non the Committee shall be responsible for the appointment of one Committee Member,\nwith majority approval of the City Council. The terms of office shall coincide with the term\nof office of the Mayor or Council Member who made the appointment.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that this item is not subject to California Environmental Quality Act\n(“CEQA”) pursuant to Sections 15378(b)(5)(Organizational or administrative activities\nof governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the\nenvironment); and\n2. Conduct an interview with each applicant; and\n3. Make appointment to fill seat #2-Shawver on the Stanton Public Safety Committee.
