F. CONSIDERATION OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE CALIFORNIA CONTRACT\nCITIES ASSOCIATION AND ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 26-03\nAMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 OPERATING BUDGET TO\nINCREASE APPROPRIATIONS IN THE GENERAL FUND, CITY COUNCIL\nDEPARTMENT BY $4,700\nThe California Contract Cities Association (CCCA) is a Southern California-\nfocused municipal advocacy organization that promotes the contracting model,\nstrengthens local control, and provides legislative advocacy, education, and\nopportunities for collaboration. Membership would support the City Council’s\ngoal of expanding its legislative advocacy, particularly on issues affecting local\ncontrol, housing, public safety, and city funding. The fiscal impact of joining the\nCCCA is an annual membership fee of $4,700 for the calendar year 2026. This\nmembership fee will be covered by the General Fund within the City Council\nbudget. Accordingly, the budget will need to be increased by $4,700 and a\nresolution authorizing this budget increase is included with this item. Should\nany City Councilmembers wish to attend any CCCA seminars or conferences,\nfunding will be drawn from the existing City Council Meeting and travel line\nitems. No additional travel budget is proposed within this item.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council approve membership and payment of\ndues in the amount of $4,700 for calendar year 2026 to the California Contract\nCities Association and adopt Resolution No. 26-03 to appropriate the necessary\nfunds.
