G. FIREWORK DISPLAY PERMIT – SAN GABRIEL SUPERSTORE\nPyro Spectaculars, California State Licensed Pyrotechnics Company, has applied\nfor a permit on behalf of the San Gabriel Superstore, for a Firecracker Display\non store property in the parking lot on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 11:00 A.M.\nThis is a ground effect, and no aerial devices are to be used for this event. The\ndisplay is to last no more than 30 minutes. Pursuant to San Gabriel Municipal\nCode Title IX, Sections 96.21 – 96.23, City Council approval is required to issue\na permit on approval and recommendation of the Fire Chief for pyrotechnic\ndisplays. A fee of $84 is due at the time of permit issuance per the Fiscal Year\n25-26 Master Fee Schedule. No Fire Department overtime expense is\nanticipated for this event.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council authorize the Fire Chief or Deputy Fire\nMarshall to issue a Fireworks Permit to Pyro Spectaculars, Incorporated,\ncontingent on the payment of all fees due and meeting the conditions of the\napplication.
