FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 BUDGET KICKOFF AND PLANNING DISCUSSION\nThe preparation of the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 budget kicked off on January 28th\nas department directors were provided budget worksheets to develop the\ndepartmental budget request for the upcoming fiscal year. This provides an\noverview of the budget process, including the overall process to develop the\nbudget, key dates on the budget calendar, and budget priorities. There is no\nfiscal impact related to the approval of this item.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council receive and file the report and provide\nany feedback or direction to staff as appropriate.
