G. Approval of Traffic Calming Measures on Temple City Boulevard Between South of\nValley Boulevard to Loftus Drive\nAt the October 6, 2022, Traffic Commission Meeting, staff presented\nrecommendations and options for traffic improvements along the segment of\nCity Boulevard between just south of Valley Boulevard to Loftus Drive.\nAfter discussion and presentation of the item, the Traffic Commission approved the\nstaff' s traffic improvement recommendations for Temple City Blvd.\nPublic Works Field Services staff will complete all the recommended items.\nAdditional materials and supplies that may be required to complete the work will be\npurchased and funded by the approved Fiscal Year 2022- 2023 Traffic Signs and\nMarkers fund.\nRecommendation: That the City Council approve the Traffic Commission\nrecommended items including:\n1. INSTALL CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP PLAQUE below the existing\nstop sign. Per Section 2C. 59 cross traffic does not stop plaque ( W44P).\nThe CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP ( W4 -4P) plaque ( see Figure 2C- 9)\nmay be used in combination with a stop sign when engineering judgment\nindicates that conditions are present that are causing or could cause drivers to\nmisinterpret the intersection as an all -way stop.\n2. INSTALL RADAR SPEED FEEDBACK SIGN midblock on\nTemple City Boulevard north of Marshall Street above existing 40 MPH speed\nsign on existing street light pole for northbound traveling vehicles,\nper CAMUTCD Section 2B. 13. 19.\n3. INSTALL SOLAR POWERED RADAR SPEED FEEDBACK SIGN with\noversized ( 3006) 40 MPH speed limit sign ( R2- 1) midblock on\nTemple City Boulevard south of Ellis Lane for southbound traveling vehicles,\nper CAMUTCD Section 2b. 13. 19.\n4. REPAINT ALL EXISTING CROSSWALKS AT SIGNALIZED\nINTERSECTIONS within the segment of Temple City Boulevard from\nEllis Lane to Loftus Drive. Marshall street at Temple City Boulevard and\nLoftus Drive at Temple City Boulevard.\n5. TARGETED SHERIFF' S ENFORCEMENT: The Sheriff' s Department will be\nnotified of speeding concerns along this segment and officers should conduct\nmonitoring and targeted enforcement for this area, and
