Approval of Memorandum of Understanding with SANDAG for Preliminary\nStudies Needed for a Future Regional Beach Sand Project and Related\nFunding\nRecommended Action: Staff recommends the City Council: 1) Approve a\nMemorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the San Diego Association of\nGovernments (SANDAG) (Attachment A) to complete preliminary studies for a\nfuture regional beach sand project as an adaptation strategy to minimize the risk\nof projected sea level rise impacts; 2) Authorize the City Manager to execute the\nMOU; and 3) Authorize the allocation of $13,800 for Del Mar’s proportionate share\nof the preliminary study work.\nReference: Clerk’s File No. 1506-1\n8.
