(7)\n26-0050\nGENERAL EXEMPTION, ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT\nCOMMITTEE REPORT and ORDINANCE FIRST CONSIDERATION\nrelative to quitclaiming a portion of a public power utility easement,\nlocated in the County of Los Angeles, California, identified as Tract\nMap 11729 to 8333 Airport, L.P. a California Limited Partnership.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. DETERMINE that this item is exempt pursuant to California\nEnvironmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15061(b)\n(3). General Exemptions apply in situations where it can be\nseen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in\nquestion may have a significant effect on the environment.\nTherefore, the quitclaim of a Department of Water and Power\n(DWP) public utility easement is not an action subject to CEQA.\n2. APPROVE the DWP proposed Resolution authorizing a\nQuitclaim Deed to abandon and quitclaim a portion of a public\npower utility easement, located in the County of Los Angeles,\nCalifornia, identified as Tract Map 11729 recorded in Book 256,\nPartnership.\n3. PRESENT and ADOPT the accompanying ORDINANCE dated\nJanuary 20, 2026, authorizing the quitclaim of public power\nfacility easement by LADWP to 8333 Airport, L.P., a California\nlimited partnership.\nFiscal Impact Statement: The City Administrative Officer reports that\nthere is no impact to the General Fund. DWP’s Power Revenue Fund\nwill receive $6,420 in one-time revenue as the processing fee to\nquitclaim the easement has been paid by the property owner of\nrecord. The proposed request complies with DWP’s approved\nFinancial Policies.
