12. COUNCIL CHAMBER AUDIO, VISUAL AND AGENDALINK SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY UPGRADE –\nAWARD OF CONTRACT (PUBLIC WORKS)\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1) In accordance with Santa Fe Springs Municipal Code Section 34.18, find and determine by a 4/5\nvote of the City Council that bidding is impractical, not in the best interest of the city and will not\nlikely result in the lowest price; and\n2) Award a sole-sourced contract to Western Audio Visual and Security (WAVSS) for upgrade of the\nCouncil Chamber audio, visual and Agendalink Agenda Management Software technology in the\namount of $119,489; and\n3) Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract with Western Audio Visual and Security; and\n4) Appropriate $120,000 from the Capital Improvement Program Reserve Fund for the project; and\n5) Take such additional, related action that may be desirable.
