E.2.\nUPDATE OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 YEAR-END BUDGET,\nFISCAL YEAR 2025-26 MID-YEAR BUDGET, PROGRESS ON WORK\nPLAN PRIORITIES, AND ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES [J. ROCCO,\nO. JONES, K. BARENG, M. JIMENEZ, R.\nNAPPER]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will receive an update on the Fiscal Year\n2024 25 year-end financial status and Fiscal Year 2025-26 mid-year\nbudget status, including proposed mid-year budget adjustments, and a\nreport of progress on departmental work plan priorities. The City Council\nwill also consider approval of position changes, including adding one\nposition and converting one vacant position.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Receive an update on the Fiscal Year 2024-\n25 year-end financial status; 2) Receive an update on the Fiscal Year\n2025-26 mid-year budget status and approve budget adjustments\nidentified in the attached “Proposed Mid-Year Adjustments to the Fiscal\nYear 2025-26 Budget” (Attachment A); 3) Receive and file the Progress on\nFY 2025-26 Departmental Work Plan Priorities (Attachment B); 4) Approve\nthe following position changes: a. Add 1.0 FTE Assistant Director of Public\nWorks, and b. Convert a 1.0 FTE vacant Senior Maintenance Technician\nto a 1.0 FTE Lead Maintenance Technician; 5) Approve the classification\nof Assistant Director Public Works at Grade 1400e; and 6) Approve the\nupdated Fiscal Year 2025-276 Salary Schedule (Attachment C) reflecting\nall City positions and associated salaries in order to meet the California\nPublic Employees’ Retirement System requirements of Government Code\n§20636(b)(1).
