F.3.\nCO-SPONSORSHIP OF PLANT BASED TREATY’S 2026 FOOD DAY IN\nWEHO EVENT [C. BYERS]:\nSUBJECT: The City Council will consider approving a Co-Sponsorship\nAgreement for the “Food Day in WeHo” event, organized by Plant Based\nTreaty Los Angeles on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Plummer Park.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Co-Sponsorship Agreement for the\n“Food Day in WeHo” event, organized by the Plant Based Treaty Los\nAngeles on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Plummer Park; 2) Authorize the City\nManager to execute documents incident to the Co-Sponsorship\nAgreement between the City and Plant Based Treaty Los Angeles; 3)\nWaive the Facility Use Fee, Special Event Permit Fee, Encroachment fee,\n3-hour parking limit at the Plummer Park parking lot for event participants,\nand any other ancillary fees for vendors and event organizers (estimated\n$7136); 4) Approve the waiver of Temporary Peddler’s License Permit\nFees and Business Tax Certificates for merchants participating in the\nevent in an amount estimated to be $4,550 in waived fees; 5) Direct the\nCommunications Department to utilize all appropriate communication tools\nto promote the events including, but not limited to, the City’s website, a\npress release, and social media tools; 6) Authorize the Director of Finance\nand Technology Services to allocate $10,000 from unallocated General\nFund reserves to the FY 26 Special Council Programs Account 100-1-01-\n00-531001 for costs associated with the event, and increase the budget\nfor Special Council Programs by the same amount; and 7) Authorize the\nDirector of Finance and Technology Services to allocate $10,000 from\nbudgeted funds in the Special Council Programs account number 100-1-\n01-00-531001 for costs associated with the event.
