(36)\n18-0916-S1\nCD 5\nBUDGET AND FINANCE COMMITTEE REPORT relative to a request\nfor payment of Court-ordered costs of suit, pursuant to the ruling in the\ncase entitled Friends of Westwanda Drive v. City of Los Angeles, et al.,\nLos Angeles Superior Court (LASC) Case No. 20STCP03490, for a\nproject located at 10034 Westwanda Drive.\nRecommendations for Council action, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL\nOF THE MAYOR:\n1. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney’s Office to expend $4,262.24,\nplus applicable interest, for the Court-ordered costs of suit\nassociated with the above-entitled matter.\n2. AUTHORIZE payment of the Court-ordered costs of suit in the\ntotal amount of $4,262.24, plus applicable interest, from the\nLiability Claims Fund No. 100/59, Account No. 009798,\nMiscellaneous Liability Payouts, pursuant to the ruling in the\ncase entitled Friends of Westwanda Drive v. City of Los\nAngeles, et al., LASC Case No. 20STCP03490.\n3. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney to draw a demand from the\nLiability Claims Fund No. 100/59, Account No. 009798,\nMiscellaneous Liability Payouts, which shall be paid as follows:\nChannel Law Group LLP.\n4. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney to deliver the warrants payable\nto Channel Law Group LLP, Tax Identification Number 20-\n8149327, contemporaneous with receipt of a Notice of\nSatisfaction of the attorneys’ fee awarded against the City.\n5. AUTHORIZE the City Attorney, or designee, to make necessary\ntechnical adjustments, subject to the approval of the City\nAdministrative Officer (CAO); and, AUTHORIZE the Controller\nto implement the instructions.\nFiscal Impact Statement: None submitted by the City Attorney. Neither\nthe Chief Legislative Analyst nor the CAO has completed a financial\nanalysis of this report.
