County of\nLos Angeles, et al.,\nLos Angeles County Claims Board's recommendation: Authorize settlement of\nthe matter entitled, Gabriela Koutantos, et al. v. County of Los Angeles, et al.,\nUnited States District Court Case No. 2:23-cv-08592, in the amount of\n$900,000; and instruct the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant to implement this\nsettlement from the Sheriff's Department's budget.\nThis lawsuit alleges excessive force, unreasonable search, and seizure arising\nout of a traffic stop conducted by Sheriff's Department deputies.
