6.\nCONSIDERATION TO APPROVE PURCHASE ORDERS WITH SIERRA AUTO GROUP, HOM\nCOMMUNICATIONS AND MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF AND THE\nOUTFITTING OF ONE 2026 CHEVROLET SILVERADO EV AND TWO 2024 CHEVROLET BLAZER\nEV’S USING THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL’S CANNABIS TAX FUND GRANT PROGRAM\nRecommendation\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1.   Award a contract to Sierra Auto Group for the purchase of two 2024 Chevrolet Blazer Police Pursuit\nVehicle (PPV) EV’s and one 2026 Chevrolet Silverado PPV EV using the Cannabis Tax Grant funds from\nthe expense account number 244-4010-0004-8520-000 (Machinery and Equipment) with a total not to\nexceed $163,000.00.\n2.   Award a contract to Motorola Solutions, Inc. for the purchase of three APX8500 vehicle radio systems\nwith the amount not to exceed $34,000.00.\n3.   Award a contract to Hom Communications for outfitting of two Chevy Blazer EV's and one Chevy\nSilverado EV with the amount not to exceed $86,000.00.\n4.  Adopt a Resolution (Attachment 6) appropriating $35,000.00 from fund 272 (COPS grant) to the\nexpense account number 272-4010-4018-8540 (Auto Equipment - AB 3229 99) to fully fund the outfitting\nfor three vehicles.\n5.   Approve and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the appropriate Purchase Orders.
